Jess + Dane | A Slow Morning in the Sunroom

Some stories don’t need sweeping views or grand gestures — they unfold in the quiet corners of a home, with paint-stained hands and sunlight filtering through old windows. Jess and Dane invited me into one of those sacred mornings — the kind that feels small on the surface but holds so much meaning beneath.

They were painting together in their sunroom, a space they’re slowly turning into something beautiful — not just with brushes and color, but with time, intention, and love. There was music playing, coffee cooling, and a rhythm between them that felt like home. Gentle, familiar, steady.

This session was cozy in the truest sense — barefoot on drop cloths, tangled up in laughter, and full of those in-between moments I live for. Jess wrapped in a soft sweater, Dane reaching for her hand mid-conversation… they weren’t just renovating a room; they were building memories into the walls.

We leaned fully into that documentary feel — no performance, just presence. The way they looked at each other, the way they created together — it was the kind of quiet intimacy that says, “this is my person.” A love not just spoken, but lived.
